Refinement and purpose was found by extending a pre-existing concrete slab with rebar (and more concrete) & overlaying with concrete pavers. Concrete is okay... but why do concrete in a small space when you can set-off your entrance with elegant pavers? These granite pavers are sealed with a wet-look finish. They are recycled from granite countertop remnants and given a special treatment to make non-slick.
